Built for Players Who Want More
Piranha Lax is a training system built for lacrosse athletes who want to separate themselves from the pack. We don’t run cookie-cutter drills. We build smarter, faster, tougher players through intense reps, sharp coaching, and game-focused training rooted in both box and field lacrosse principles.
Whether you’re a rising youth player, a high school starter chasing the next level, or a full team looking to install box-style systems — Piranha Lax delivers clear structure, no-nonsense teaching, and the mindset to compete under pressure.
Our Story
Piranha Lax was founded by Coach Tony Gray, a lifelong lacrosse player and coach who’s spent the last three decades developing athletes at every level — youth, high school, college, and international box lacrosse.
After years of coaching both field and box lacrosse, Tony saw a need for training that actually translated to the field — not just reps for the sake of reps. Piranha Lax was created to fill that gap: a system that combines box-style intensity with position-specific development and situational IQ that players can immediately apply in games.
Now in its fifth year, Piranha Lax works with athletes across the DMV region, partnering with high school programs, youth clubs, and national brands to deliver real skill development that sticks.
Our Philosophy
We believe:
-
Every rep should serve a purpose.
-
Every player deserves honest, direct feedback.
-
Footwork, IQ, and confidence win more games than highlight plays.
-
Box lacrosse builds better field players — and we use it to sharpen every skill you need.
-
Players need to be taught how to think the game — not just run through drills.
We also believe in developing complete athletes, not just position players. That means integrating speed development, movement efficiency, and functional strength into our programs — so athletes can move well, stay healthy, and dominate in any sport. Whether you play one season or multiple, the goal is the same: move better, react faster, and compete harder.
We coach with intensity, detail, and accountability. No fluff. No shortcuts. Just the work that leads to real results.
